  • Work from top to bottom while you’re prepping, cleaning, and painting.

  • If you go the DIY route, rent scaffolding to significantly reduce the amount of trips up and down a ladder. It’s safer, too!

  • It’s best to apply the same type of paint (oil- or water-based) on top of the old paint.
